I am having problems in importing files with Photoshop Elements 2

Hi to all,

I am having problems in importing files.  Photoshop Elements 2 is being stubborn and does not allow me to import Epson Twain scanner.  Whenever I do so, I am given this error – "Could not complete the import command because of a problem with the acquisition Module interface".  I then clicked the OK button when all of a sudden another error appears – "The instruction at "0x673328c8" referenced memory at "0x0e9b0740".

The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program".  Hoping to solve the problem myself, I have tried reinstalling both programs.  It didn’t fix the problem at all.  Now, I need your help on this.

Hoping for someone to reply.

Thanks.

First you need to check your scanner. To check please download the demo version VueScan. This is a demo version and free anyway. Then you need to uninstall the scanner driver software and then reinstall it. Then try with another software to try to scan from this scanner. If it works you need to uninstall and then reinstall or repair the photoshop element2. This will work.

Good Luck

Hi James R Wilson,

This is a normal problem with a lot of drivers, especially in case of Epson drivers.

You said that you tried reinstalling the software but then also it didn't worked.

So, while uninstalling, you need to do one more step.

That is to completely remove all traces of Epson Scanner Software, including the Twain files.

Hope it helps.
