I am having issues on encrypting files

Hi!

I am having issues on encrypting files.  Every time I open a pdf file from Rohos Mini Drive, this error message pops up – , "There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found.”  The error is generated by Adobe Reader X wherein my current version is 10.1.2.

By the way, I have a Windows XP operating system and no problems were experienced on encrypting Microsoft Word files. This pdf error is so annoying!  I desperately need your help.

Thanks!

Hello,

Please check if the file itself is not corrupted by trying to decrypt the file and copy it to a new location on your hard drive, if you could do it, then something is wrong with your encryption algorism, otherwise the file itself is corrupted and you need to have a new copy.

Please note that having your important files on usb drive “only” is not a good idea, you should always have a backup copy another location.. I do prefer having online backup solutions like Dropbox.

Hi James Yorath

Well I might get the solution of your problem.
If you are opening your PDF file from within the ROHOS mini drive portable or ROHOS Disk browser
You have to check that the Adobe Reader instances should be closed before opening the PDF file.
After doing this you must make sure that you do not have to import PDF file.
Just open it with double click and you should ensure that PDF browsers app is not running.
You can also use < Virtualize Folder > command in ROHOS disk browser to open with right click.
A dialog appears where you may open PDF files without getting an error.

I hope you’ll get out of this problem with this solution. Good Luck!
