Hello,

I am getting the following error message using LogMeIn Hamachi which says “Failed to connect to the engine. How can I fix this error? Can you provide me the best solution so that I may start the engine? Thanks in advance.

Hi Colleen,

 

You are having this error because of some reasons:

  • You have failed to start LogMeIn Hamachi
  • You are in error state
  • Application is being blocked by your anti virus

You can find the status of your engine by:

  • Pressing the "Windows key" to your keyboard together with "R"
  • Type "services. msc" in the run box that appear and then hit "Enter"
  • Search for "LogMeIn Hamachi Tunnel Engine"
  • If your engine is one of these:
  1. Starting
  2. Stopping
  3. Started

Restart the application, if nothings happen then restart your computer

If after restarting your computer still error is encountered, add an exclusion for Hamachi-2-I. ex. Just ask or contact the anti virus support that you are using to guide you on how you can do this.
