Huawei P1 Ascend Smartphone now in the market
Huawei, a leader of mobile technology industry, has announced at CES its new Android smart-phone the Ascend P1 S. The new product of HUAWEI will run under Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and it's one of slimmest smart phones available in the market with its 6.68mm thickness. It’s equipped with HD 4.3 "(540 x 960) AMOLED QHD display, A dual-core 1.5 GHz processor (TI OMAP 4460), 1 GB of RAM and SGX 540 GPU.
For the storage, it provided with a 4 GB internal capacity and a MicroSD slot for extension. A primary 8 MP camera and a 1.3 MP camera in the front, It is available also: GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth. The Ascend P1 will be first available starting from May 2012 in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Australia, and then in the second quarter it will be available in South America, then in Europe.

The Huawei Ascend P1 Smartphone announced in January of 2012 and its release was set in May of the same year, 4 months after the announcement. For users who are expecting it to be 4G capable, I’m sorry but it’s not. It’s only a 3G Smartphone capable of connecting to 2G and 3G networks. It measures 127.4 x 64.8 x 7.7 millimeters or 5.02 x 2.55 x 0.30 inches and weighs 110 grams. It has a super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16m colors and 540 x 960 pixels screen resolution. It includes the Corning Gorilla Glass though I’m not sure if it’ll be shipped in all countries with this screen protector. It supports a MicroSD slot which can be upgraded up to 32 GB. The new Huawei Ascend P1 handset is running on the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz Cortext-A9 processor on TI OMAP 4460 chipset and PowerVR SGX540 GPU.
