Hallo Baltazar,

In this case you might be needed to use a quick restore DVD that will restore the default or the factory settings of the HP ProLiant DL380 storage server that you are using for you to able to retrieve back the hostname. What the application on the DVD does is restore your network to its default state before you experienced that problem and it will also reconfigure the operating system drivers to the factory settings.

Once you have the DVD, you will follow the procedure below:

  • You will first have to make sure that the keyboard, mouse and monitor are connected directly to the server and then insert the quick restore DVD.
  • You will then reboot the computer and then follow the steps that will be displayed on your screen to the end.

Hope this helps.
