I wish to utilize the “Send Email” alternative in Windows apps on Windows 7, and I have been looking around since 1 yr for an easy fix which would permit me to do this and correct my registry, but I have not been able to find anything. Please note that I use Gmail only. Can you help??

If you are using windows 7 the beta version then it does not have the windows mail or outlook. To use the windows mail therefore, you will need to create a Windows Live account so that you will be able to access your Windows Mail or Outlook through there.
You can also resort to using the webmail, or you can alternatively download Outlook Exchange and install it on your computer so as to use the windows mail service. You can also use some other mail service programs like Thunderbird or whatever other application that you will like. There are many of them; you just have to them on the internet.
