Using Wimax Internet modem is compatible to any kind of Operating System. Regardless if you have Mac OX, Windows and or Linux operating system.

Most Wimax modem is a plug and play type of device. Connect Cat5 cord or Rj45 from Wimax Modem to your computer then the Internet should be ready to go.

Check the network connection in your Linux device, check if it's enabled. A possible Cat5 cord issue when connecting the Rj45 connector to your Linux OS. Tried using different Cat5 cord if possible to eliminate the problem.

Try to power off your modem whenever you connect a new computer to your Wimax modem. Your Internet connection might using DHCP or Automatic configuration that assigned IP address to your device. After power cycle, then the Linux OS will be then recognized by the Modem and Ip address is assigned.

Try the Internet connection again and if failed, it could be something else. Settings issue, Wimax has no Internet access or something else.
