Hello David,

Nero 11 is definitely an improved version compared to its predecessors, its user interface is much more evolved, easier to use and with some awesome improvements throughout the product.

Nero 11 can be downloaded from Nero's website and as well as from other leading website such as download.com. You may use this link to download Nero 11.

If you have been comfortable with previous versions of Nero, then you would definitely find it easier to switch to this new version.

My suggestion and recommendation would be to watch this really good video "How to use Nero 11 – Download and install | video tutorial by TechyV".

I hope you find this video useful, please feel free to ask questions and we would be glad to help you.

Cheers,

It seems the version you are asking is the older version. The latest version is Nero 12 and several of its new features include:

  • The encoding speed has been enhanced and it can now detect automatically any installed GPU acceleration device.
  • The “Job to device” feature allows easy grouping of numerous projects which targets only one device as their destination.
  • It has a broad device support for cross-platform Windows 8 RT, iOS, and Android mobile devices.
  • It has an automatic music duration matching which is good for video projects and slideshows.

This latest version supports Windows XP Service Pack 3 32-bit, Windows Vista Service Pack 2 32-bit and 64-bit, Windows 7 [Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate] Service Pack 1 32-bit and 64-bit and Windows 8 32-bit and 64-bit. Though it’s not a free CD burning application, you can still use it for around 15 days with its free 15-day trial period.

The full registered version costs around 70 Euros. I’ve already used one of its oldest version that was included in the DVD writer I bought. That’s why I know what a trial version can only do. Some of its features and functions will only prompt you to purchase or to upgrade to the full version.

The LightScribe feature only works if the DVD writer supports it but if not you won’t see this function in the application. To download, visit Download Nero 12 version 12.5. Watch also “How to use Nero 11 – Download and install | video tutorial by TechyV”.
