I have installed administrator tools for Windows 7in my PC from Microsoft website. But it is not seen in the start menu or programs. I am sure that I have installed it.
It may have been installed. But you also have to manually enable it. Follow the steps.
Step 1: Open Control Panel by using “control” keyword in Run command.
Step 2: Click on “Uninstall a program”.
Step 3: Click on “Add or remove Windows features”.
Step 4: Check the Admin tools and click okay.
Step 5: Changes will be made and then admin tools will appear on the start menu.
Microsoft Windows has its own built-in administrative tools. Like in Windows XP, the tools are located in the Control Panel. If the tools you installed came from Microsoft but you don’t see it in the Start menu, you can probably locate it in the Control Panel. In Windows XP, you can find the tool by clicking “Start,” “Control Panel,” “Performance and Maintenance,” and then “Administrative Tools.”
Administrative Tools include Component Services, Data Sources (ODBC), Local Security Policy, Services, Computer Management, Event Viewer, and Performance. These tools allow you to view the services running on the computer. This is very useful in times of troubleshooting when you need to start and stop a service. You can also configure a service how it starts with Windows.
There are services that run automatically with Windows and there are ones that needed to be started manually depending on the user. The Windows Update you use on Windows to check and install updates has its own service.
