Hi. To remove Norton 360 in windows XP, please follow these steps:

  • Go to start, control panel, then double click “add or remove programs”
  • You click the Norton 360 on the list then click remove on the top part.
  • It will prompt you to confirm the removal of the program and just select yes.
  • Restart the computer after it uninstalls then check.

Another way of uninstalling Norton 360 is using the Norton cd if you still have it. Insert the cd and it will prompt some options to uninstall Norton. If you are having a hard time removing Norton on the normal way, try Norton Removal Tool.

Click on the link to download the tool.

You can also use third party uninstallers if still the Norton Removal Tool won’t work. You can use Revo Uninstaller Pro. Click on the link to download.

Be cautious in using the Revo Uninstaller since it will also wipe out registry entries of the program but it’s easy to use.

These are the steps.

Step 01: Go to this site:

(Please skip this part since you are already done with this.)

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool

**Since Norton 360 is still leaving their tracks.**

Step 02: Download and install "file shredder"

Download here in this link

Step 03: Run the program and choose Norton 360. That should do the job.

Keep me posted!!
