Hello Amanda Wissler,

It's very easy, Android devices sync with your Google Account.

  • Sync your Windows Mobile phone with computer.
  • Export your contacts from the computer to a CSV.
  • Go To file menu on the upper left in the outlook, click on Import and Export, then click on Export file to, Click Next, click on Comma Separated Values (Windows), click on Next, click on Contacts, click on Browse, Select the drive and the folder where you wish to save the file, click on Next. That's it.
  • Use Google Contacts to import the CSV
  • Wait for a few minutes and all of your contacts will show up on your Android phone soon.

As your wife was using Samsung Galaxy earlier, she is probably keeping her contacts, email and calendars in a Google account. Now getting all contacts on the windows phone is easy, all you need is to set up a Google account on your windows phone. When you add your Facebook, Twitter or linked-in accounts to your phone, then their contacts are also synchronized in your windows phone. To set up your Google account on your phone:

1. In the App list, tap Settings > Email + Accounts.

2. Tap Add An Account.

3. Tap Google, and then follow the instructions.

If you are thinking of transferring your contacts from your Android phone to a Windows phone, the easiest way is with your Google account. On your Android phone, go to “Settings,” “Accounts and Sync” then under “Manage Accounts,” select or add your Google account. Now, once your Google account is added, tap “Sync Contacts.”

This will sync your contacts from your Android phone to your Gmail account. After this, you need to export your Google contacts. Once you are finished synchronizing your phone with your Google account, on a computer, go to Google Contacts. When you are prompted, enter your Gmail credentials to log in and access your Gmail contacts.

On the left pane, click “Export” then in “Export contacts” page, select “Google CSV format (for importing into a Google account)” and then click “Export.” When exporting is finished, click “Save” then store the exported contacts file called “google.csv” on your computer. Next, still using a computer, log in to your Windows Live account or Hotmail account.

On the main window, click the down arrow next to “Outlook” and select “People.” In “People” page, click “Start import.” In “Import contacts” page, select import from “Google.” In “Import contacts from Google” page, click “Browse” then select the “google.csv” file you saved. Click “Open” then “Upload.” After this, verify that all imported contacts look correct then hit the “Import” button.

On the Windows phone, make sure you’ve already added your Microsoft account or Windows Live account. On your Windows phone, go to “Settings,” “Email + accounts” then tap and hold your Microsoft account until you see the “sync” option. Tap “sync” to sync your Windows Live contacts with your Windows phone.
