I am using Windows 7 with 32-bit configuration. I want to setup Windows Server 2008 on my device. Can anybody tell me how to setup windows server 2008 dns configuration step by step? Any help on the same would be appreciated.
Once you have installed DNS on your computer, it is easy to configure it.
Step 1: First, Right-Click on the server in the console of DNS management, then click Configure DNS server.
Step 2: Select Create forward and reverse lookup zone, and then click next.
Step 3: After you click “yes,” select the radio button create the forward lookup zone now on the lookup zone window.
Step 4: Next, Click on desired zone that you want to create, Primary Zone in this case .
Step 5: Type the Zone Name and click Next.
Step 6: Click Next.
Step 7: Select Allow both non secure and Secure dynamic updates and then click Next in order to Continue.
Step 8: Select Yes.
Step 10: Select Primary Zone again in the Zone creating Window.
Step 11: Choose if you wish to create IPv4 or IPv6 reverse lookup zone.
Step 12: Type your network ID in the window.
Step 13: Click Next.
Step 14: Then, Select Allow both nonsecure and Secure dynamic updates and click Next.
Step 15: Select No.
