You need to configure your email server with IMAP and POP settings. These are the two configurations to access emails. Both are different regarding usage. There are also webmail services like the Outlook. POP and IMAP settings are different for Outlook, and you need the server name, port number, and SSL requirement.
POP settings
- Incoming POP Server – outlook.office365.com with port number 995. SSL is always encrypted.
- Outgoing SMTP Server – smpt.office365.com with port number 587. SSL is required in the beginning.
IMAP settings
- Incoming IMAP Server – outlook.office365.com with port number 993 or 143. SSL may or may not be required.
- Outgoing SMTP Server – smpt.office365.com with port number 587. SSL is required in the beginning.
