Hello everyone, I have a Lenovo laptop which I am recently noticing that is working slowly. Please provide me some troubleshooting tips to solve my laptop is working very slow problem. Thanks for the help in advance.
The system slows- down due to many reasons, check out some of them.
1. Resource Optimization.
It probably happens that some of your processes are using more than resources it should use. Open task manager and end that program, this might solve speed issue.
2. Try to end the tray program that is running at the back of the system.
3. Reduce the animation from your system.
4. Clean up the junk and non-usable application and files.
If you notice your computer is running very slow, the most common cause is a heavily fragmented system drive. This includes data fragmentation in the Windows registry and the files especially system files on the system drive. If the system drive or drive C is too fragmented, booting the computer will become very slow. Another possible cause of system slowness is an infected system.
To make sure the slowness of your computer is not caused by viruses, update your antivirus or internet security and perform a full system scan. In case a virus is found, remove it. You can also use Sophos Virus Removal Tool to remove viruses from your computer if it is infected. It works alongside any antivirus program you may have.
If your computer is clean or after removing the virus, download PC Tools Performance Toolkit then follow the instructions to download and unpack and then install it. Once installed, start PC Tools then click the “1-Click Optimization” button in the “Dashboard” tab to optimize your system in just one click. All optimizations will be performed in succession.
