Do you have a Bluetooth Driver for your Dell?

If not, try these steps. On your computer, click Start (Windows logo), go to My Computer and choose System Properties, then click Windows Update, or simply click Start and type "updates" when you search programs and files, you should be able to see a Windows update.

Click on that and a new window will appear, choose Windows Update, after that choose Optional Update and look for the word Bluetooth. Check on that and click OK, after the installation the Bluetooth icon should appear in your system tray, if this doesn't work,

Go to this website and scroll down and look for issue 3:

How to Download and Install the Latest Dell Wireless Bluetooth Adapter Driver.

Choose your operating system and you will be sent to another page, then follow the steps in order to download your Bluetooth driver.

Hi Janet,

Make sure Bluetooth is turned on and your device is discoverable.

Choose System Preferences from the Apple and then Bluetooth from the View menu.

If you don’t see Bluetooth in the View menu, your computer does not have a built-in Bluetooth module.

Good luck.

To use the Bluetooth on your Dell PC, search and locate for the Bluetooth icon on the bottom right side of your computer.

The following are the status of the Bluetooth icon:

2. Bluetooth connected This signifies your Bluetooth is already connected. If the other device is not connected, try to repair it.

3. Bluetooth disabled This signifies that the Bluetooth is disabled. Click the icon to enable it.

4. None When there is no icon shown, you will need to install the driver for your Bluetooth.

If you need the driver for Bluetooth, go to Dell website for instructions.

To set up your Bluetooth, follow the instructions below:

1. Ensure that the batteries for both devices are installed.

2. Ensure that the Dell Wireless Bluetooth Adapter is installed.

3. The other device which you are going to pair is not more than 30 feet away from your Dell PC.

4. Right-click your Bluetooth on the tray.

5. Click Add New Connection and then select the Express Mode.

6. Make your Bluetooth device in discoverable mode so other devices can find your computer.

7. Start sending your files.
