  • It is hard to find right antivirus but any is better than none. I would recommend ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4. Many people using ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 which is both, antivirus and antispyware.
  • This antivirus detects and disables viruses, worms, adware, trojans, spyware, rootkits and all possible threats you may find on pen drives, CDs and DVDs. ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 gives real-time protection, anti-stealth technology and system diagnostics and emergency recovery repairing your computer in case of an emergency.
  • It runs in the background and you won't even notice. It is easy to install and adjust settings. It is licensed per hardware so you can extend protection to multiple operating systems running on a single machine.

Go to http://www.av-comparatives.org/. This site may help you choose which is the best anti-virus software. They check the detection rate, and the proactiveness of the anti-virus software (the ability to detect in advance). This is very important because there are many new viruses and malwares coming up everyday. I can say their test are reliable. Their product of the year for 2010 is F-Secure. G Data, Avast, Symantec are a few to choose from. The anti-virus they choose for testing are already considered as good and high quality products because they have filtered out all. Check the list and choose what you think is good for you. After all, buying an expensive anti-virus is really worth it.
