How to run Macro/Script in Lotus?

Aside from being a qualified Accountant, I am experienced in Computer Programming since 1976 and familiar with spreadsheets since the introduction of Lotus 1-2-3. But I get confused by macro/scripting in Lotus SmartSuite 9.7. I am still baffled even if there are instructions in LotusScript Programmer’s Guide or in LotusScript Language Reference. Can someone help me on how to run a macro/script? I will be very happy. Thank you.

Hi George!

Sorry to hear that problem. I have a solution for you. Follow the step by step process below:

  • From the menu, try to use tools>user set-up>
  • And then deactivate the run autoexecue.macros.
  • You also need to remove the attached file on .EXE icon.
  • Choose properties by pressing the right click of the mouse.
  • From the window properties,> opposite traget, you can see the 123.exe headed off with the path.
  • After the 123.exe remove the path filename and then click apply > OK.
  • This will let you run macro/script in lotus.

I hope it helps you solve your issue. Have a gread day and happy weekend!
