Hello,

Yes you can filter URLs you need. Most of the ADSL routes have this feature with it.

Access the router using the provided user name and password. (May be the password can be changed by you) Then there may be a lot of options there. It is vary with router to router and vendor to vendor. So you have to go through the option one by one.

If you can find an option like ‘filter an IP’ or ‘filter a URL’ or ‘filter’ then you can go to the option. There will be a place to give a particular URL which needs to be access denied.

Hi Edward001

You may use the following methods to be able to protect your personal computer while visiting internet while connecting using ADSL Router

Protect your connections using firewall

The ADSL comes with this protection as a default.

This software is best for home user but not for business.

In many cases there is only incoming firewall but not outgoing firewall.

It has proxy and virus scanning facilities.

It does not allow you to control employees entry to the internet

It does not  give details report to the management of the Internet usage.

in many cases the software is not updated.

Unprotected internet may lead to low performance of the employee, virus affecting the computers and high cost of the internet.
