Hello Everyone!

I need help in recovering my outlook contacts. I am using Microsoft Outlook 2007 and the Veeam Explorer for Microsoft Exchange which is free in Veeam Backup & Replication. I am not sure what did wrong but I couldn't find all of my contacts. I tried to restore it using my backup  from the previous week but the contacts are still missing. I believe I am using the right backup since it is a .MSG file. Anyone please help. If you know anything about how to restore outlook contact using Veeam Explorer for Microsoft Exchange then please help.

Thank you.

Hello Keith,

Your Veeam Explorer is a standalone Explorer for Exchange and works with your regular Veeam backups. On the interface, you will be able to find your backups easily. You will need to export to a PST file to find your Outlook contacts. Export the entire mailbox to a PST file.

Regards.

Hi Keith, you need a Surebackup job configured on the Veeam Backup server to recover your outlook contacts.  You also have to create a virtual lab and an application group that is link to SureBackup job.  The virtual lab will mirrors your production environment and your application group should have virtualized Microsoft Exchange and VMs running services that are dependent on Microsoft Exchange.

Here is the link for the guidelines on how to recover your contacts. https://helpcenter.veeam.com/backup/80/vsphere/index.html?uair_exch_restore.html
