You cannot repair you computer by yourself, only if you have some knowledge on electrical parts. Repairing a monitor is not something that can be instructed over the internet unless you have an experience related to this.

  • First thing you should check if your monitor is placed near a speaker. Speaker magnets affects the colors displayed on the screen in all kinds of monitor even the television.
  • Check also the monitor cable if working properly. Use another cable for testing it.
  • If your monitor is connected via video card then if you have an on-board video card connect your monitor to it and observe if still changes its color after a few minutes.
  • The picture tube like on any other television may be damaged. Have it checked by a technician or have it replaced with a new one.

Hi,

These issue due to the capacitor leak inside in the monitor, please consult that to the Computer technician or Electronic Technician in your please to fix the problem of the monitor. But beside that, you check also the proper connection of the graphics cable connector.

If the issue will not resolve the last option is replace the damage monitor and change new monitor.

If you are using a CRT monitor and this problem happens, we have the same problem. But with me, my CRT monitor has long been gone and I already replaced it with an LED monitor. Your CRT monitor changes its color because there is an electronic component in its board that is somewhat a little loose.

Unfortunately, opening the CRT monitor case is not recommended because you might get electrocuted. Also, removing the back cover is a bit of a challenge that’s why only technicians should attempt to open it. My suggestion is to bring your monitor to a computer shop or an electronic repair center to have it serviced. Finding that something loose on the board is also a challenge for the technician.

He will have to check every electronic component connected on the board. The technician will also need to re-heat the solders on every component.
