How to reformat without using driver from motherboard

Hi Experts,

I reformatted my HDD from Vista to Windows 7 and only realized that I do not have all the drivers of the devices that I have to install. One of these devices is my writing tablet. I searched the net for possible drivers and have it downloaded. Installation was brisk and appeared to be okay. However, from time to time I would receive the “hardware error 1024” message. What does this error mean and how can it be fixed?

Thank you

Hi Faye,

When you do reformat make sure you have available back-ups:

Hard disk
USB
Drivers from your devices.

I tried to download my drivers to the internet, it will take me some time before i was able to download the exact driver for my motherboard. What i did is i visit many forum like this site Techyv.com. I posted my concern with regards to my motherboard problem and some concern visitors give me a link and at last it work. My motherboard is already 8 years old when i first bought pentium 4 a long time ago.

Hardware error 1024 message are normally:

THE APPLICATION ERRORS – This is normally small box appear on your computer.
HARDWARE ERROR – Can't able to detect hard drives even if the hard drive is there.
CAN'T INSTALL WINDOWS PROBLEM – POP-UPS on your computer.
MACHINE EXEMPTION ERROR – Error on the start up, especially on first boot
COMPUTER FREEZES COMPLETELY – this can be hardware and software problems

Lastly, makes sure you have updated your virus scanners and any hardware install device in your computer, including the motherboard drivers.

Thanks,

First you create your driver then you install your windows after your windows has been completed then you format your driver without system driver. If you format your system driver then your window will be lost.

The “hardware error” you keep receiving every now and then is related to the driver you installed. It can be due to the driver being outdated or the driver is for a different operating system. The easiest way to download the drivers is to visit the motherboard manufacturer’s website to get the latest drivers. The following list contains the websites of popular computer manufacturers.

Try visiting them if you are using their products:
