How to proper System Restore on my system?

My System Restore stopped working. Whenever I try SR, I can see restore points, however when I run it, I only get this message: “Can’t be restored to earlier time.”

How do I solve this?

Your System Restore Points could be corrupt. Boot into Safe Mode and run System Restore Tool. To do this, restart your computer, tap F8 repeatedly. The Windows Advanced Options screen appears. You can restart if it the screen menu does not appear.

Now select Safe Mode and hit Enter.

Since Safe Mode uses a minimal set of drivers to start Windows, notice that the resolution of your screen becomes larger and in dull colors.

Log into the Administrator Account. Select NO in Safe Mode Information screen to start System Restore.
Choose Restore Computer to an earlier time and select a date for available restore points. Take note that you cannot create restore points in Safe Mode.

Click next to begin the System Restore process.

Hello dear,

It is very easy to answer your question. As we know, computers create restore points and save files onto the hard disk. When we apply system restore, then the computer copies the files to the original location again.

Now, in your case, it seems that you have deleted these restore files, so the computer just shows the restore points, but there are no files available to restore.

I hope this helps you understand.

Thanks.
