I have found that PS4's system software is based on FreeBSD OS which is a Linux distro. It is a modified version and is renamed as Orbit OS. Can I run all PS4 games on my PC if I install Orbit OS and get all the important files used on the PS4?

Hello,

PS4 is completely a different platform than PC and the games that’re developed for PS4 is totally different than PC. Their memory mapping, processing method is different than PC hardware compared to PS4 though PS4 comes will all the hardware that PC has. But playing PS4 games on PC isn’t available.

PS4 comes with 8-core AMD Jaguar/Kabini x86-64 CPU, 8GB GDDR5 RAM and 7870-derived GPU. These hardware runs differently than PC.

PS4 has a different SDK than PC that enables having the full advantage of the platform for the game-developers. PC also has different platforms.

There are many games available on both PC and PS4 platforms, and some are only for particular platform. Both have different kernel and hardware management system that don’t allow same game run into PC.

Windows is the best for gaming as Linux stays far behind in this case. Windows provides DirectX, the greatest SDK for game development. With it, all the superb games like Assassin’s Creed, Need For Speed, etc. are developed. If you want to play PS4 games on PC, you have to get the PC version of those games and have Windows installed on your system.
