Hello,

My company team just switches to make an operating system, I think a week ago and we are still on the process of installing licensed and important software applications. Our head consulted and asked me about the best video editing software which is compatible with Mac operating system. I have no idea about it so I asked him that I will make some research before giving him the proposal, can you please share with me some reliable, secured and licensed video editing software for Mac?

Waiting for your support, thank you.

Hi, Ava.

There are a number of video editing software for the Mac operating system. I suggest you to try the Autodesk smoke. It has several new features like non linear editing, color correction, 3D compositing and much more. It's very easy to manage your projects with this software. You can start editing the video without converting footage. Hence it saves you a lot of time. For a trial version of the product, visit https://www.autodesk.com/products/smoke/free-trial

Please note that the system requirements to run the Autodesk smoke are:

  • Apple® Mac OS® X version 10.6.6, 10.6.7, 10.7.2 or later, or 10.8.x.
  • 64-bit Intel® multicore processor.
  • 4GB of RAM.
  • 3 GB free disk space for download and installation.
  • Minimum 1,440 x 900 display (1,920 x 1,200 or higher recommended).
  • U.S. Keyboard (Required to properly map hotkeys).

Hi, Ava.

There are a number of video editing software for the Mac operating system. The most prominent among them are Autodesk smoke, Adobe Premiere pro, final cut express, Wirecast, Final Cut Studio. I suggest you to go with final cut express, which is a software from the Apple Inc. It has a number of export formats such as DVD, HD, MPEG 4, Quick Time etc. You need not convert the footage to start the editing work with this software. It is an added advantage and can save time.

Regards,

Muhaimer.
