It all depends on your personal skills.
For example if you have the programming skills then you can do the programming all by yourself and release the softwares and earn solely from them.
But if there is anything that you cannot control then hire a personnel to handle that specific department of the business and assign task to him.
Once he is done with the task, pay him his half of the money and take the application or the software from him and use it in your own way.
Just to be sure, do make an agreement that all copyrights will be sticking with you as you are the owner of the business.
