Hi. I am using 2008 r2 as NPS/RADIUS and trying to connect wireless devices with server. I have configured all setting but still have authentication problem. In NPS setup I have created two RADIUS Client and directed them to NPS server but whenever I connect my wireless device it gives error like “windows was unable to log on network”. Please tell how to solve this problem?

Hi,

Check your wireless connection properties, in the authentication uncheck the Enable IEEE 802.1x then click ok. For more information pls. Visit this link: https://supportforums.cisco.com/t5/wireless-mobility-documents/configuring-microsoft-nps-network-policy-server-internet/ta-p/3125948

Hi there Taylor Urban,

It would be great if you could give us the error log that appears either in event viewer or the NPS text blog.

Until then, try the following:

Make sure your region setting and time and date are set correctly.

Turn the autocounting in the NPS settings is turned on.

Make sure the secret key is correct.

Also, use the IP instead of the DNS name (see the picture).

Best regards,
Drake Vivian
