How to manage colours in an .al file extension?

Hi!

I got a file with the .al extension as a free download from the internet.

When I try to open it, it appears in the Swatch panel – it’s a file with a monochrome background and winding thin grey lines in the foreground.

Does anybody know if there is a way to separate the lines from the background and recolor them?

Hallo Kharl Breis,

I am not so sure if there is that kind of file format, especially as an image file format. Or could you be confusing what you downloaded with the .ai file extension, because there is a file extension like that and you can edit it using some image editing programs like adobe Photoshop or illustrator and change the colors and the fonts as you may like. Or it could be in the ALAW file format, which has been abbreviated as .al format and that is a sound file which I do not think you can edit the way you are saying.

Otherwise I will refer you to the following link and see if any information there about the file formats maybe useful to you: http://www.softfields.com/
