While researching I found out about droste effect who is a recursive image. You can see how to do it in this video tutorial:

How to make recursive gif animated Photoshop

Hi Davionevan,

If you plan to make a recursive or repetitive GIF animation using Photoshop like the sample below:

You can check out this YouTube video:

The important things you need to take note in order to customize it according to your desired appearance is:

1.)    When you select the File and then New, set the width and height of the image according to your desired size.

2.)    Make sure to activate the Animation Panel. Look at the lower left part of the panel and set it to Forever, if it’s your first time to open the animation panel, it will often be set to Once, click it and select Forever to make sure it is recursive.

3.)    Make sure that you select Save for Web and Devices under the File menu and save the animation you created as GIF (which you’ll find in the upper right part of the panel). Some people fail to check this and save it in either JPEG or PNG and end up with an image that doesn’t animate.
