I didn't get the right category for this question so I asked the question in MS category. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Now onto the question,

I don't use MS Office. I only prefer Open Office. How can I lock a row of cells in Open Office Calc? I'm not able to locate the right tab for this function.

Hello,

OpenOffice is the best and powerful, free Office application. In order to freeze rows/columns in Calc,

1. Select the row/column to freeze.

2. Right-click on the place.

3. Select Window >> Freeze.

In order to unfreeze, follow the same steps. The complete but simple tutorial can be found here.

If you're still facing trouble, re-installing the OpenOffice is strongly recommended because if anything inside the system of OpenOffice is broken, it'll be fixed and will have more new features and advantages. Download OpenOffice.
