I have a batch of 30 fps 8217 kbps MJPEG files with 64 kbps audio. I would like to Linux batch convert mjpeg to divx so I could view it on my divx player 5.2.1. I use Windows xp 64 bit. How do I do this? Thanks.

I nearly forgot… ffmpeg solely encodes to MPEG-1. The section optical disc on vcdhelp.com says MPEG-1 is okay. You may get larger file sizes or lower quality with MPEG-1 over MPEG-2. You either pay a variety of hours to days with MJPEG tools and MPEG-2, or use the quick ffmpeg with MPEG-1. i'd simply create a few sample of every and compare the quality / size and speed if that matters to you.
