You want to crop soldier face only or include background?

Here some solutions for you:

Include background: you can use one of these ways:

Use Crop tool:

–          Select crop tool on toolbox

–          Drag to draw a rectangle over the face

–          Scale, rotate the rectangle until you get the size you want

–          Double click or press Enter to finish command

Use command Crop:

–          Use any selection tool (rectangle, ellipse, lasso…) to make a selection over the face

–          Go to menu Select > transform selection to resize your selection until you get the size you want

–          Go to menu Image > Crop

The face only:

–          Use any selection tool (suggest magnetic lasso) to make a selection fit to the face. Then go to menu Image > Crop

–          Or use pen tool to make anchors fit to the face. In order to close path, click on the first anchor. Pen tool will make a path (vector), not a selection. You need to convert this shape to selection by press Ctrl + Enter. Then go to menu Image > Crop

For more information about pen tool, use Ctrl when you want to move anchor, use Alt when you want to control direction of the next path segment.
