How to keep private calendar notes in outlook private

We are using Outlook calendar at work. I sometimes arrange meetings through the calendar, and always check who are invited to the meetings and if there is a schedule conflict with other events.

The problem is when I used the computer of others and used their account to add myself to an event, I saw all my data from my private calendar! I do mark my own calendar notes as "private" and after that all they will see is that I had a personal meeting done. What makes some accounts be shown the details of private calendar notes?

According to IT, all outlook were set up identically.

Microsoft Outlook has the most valuable calendar.  You want to show commercial appointments with everyone but want to hide personal appointments. You can create a second calendar for personal and you can do this; just you have to follow the instructions.

  • Open the calendar and just click File, New, and Folder. Name it whatever you like.
  • Now you have two separate calendars.
  • Right-click on the calendar and select Properties.

Now go to “Permissions tab” and remove an account that you don’t wish to have access. Whenever you make a new schedule it will inherit both the approvals of your key-calendar. This means which if your main schedule is released the one will be released as well. To make it personal you must have access both the approvals of the “teenage folder” you developed and also remove the connection you offered on the main schedule.
