Hi All,

After running Malwarebytes I go for a walk outside and forgot. After 12 hours I back and got nothing by program and close it. When I click “Start” I saw surprisingly Google chrome is there, which I didn’t download and not install. Also there was no backup of Google Chrome. There is no friend in my home today! Thanks

This is a bit strange that after you get back at home, you've check your computer and Google chrome is there, running and installed. It's a bit untrue to believe but sometimes, happenings this way is in existence.

You might install the Google Chrome by accident or without your knowledge. I won't believe that someone else might installed this for you, like a ghost or something.(hhhggg sigh) or someone else might just fooling you around. Ask any of your friend, enemies, family members if they have done this for you. It is possible that they might did it because you are out at home for 12 long hours… November 1 just past by and I don't truly believe they installed it for you. So, confirmed this with them to be sure.

I would think that since you run Malwarebytes, this might have auto pop-up that installed Google Chrome with it when running the software. Which I doubt, this might be the case why you have this browser for any reasons.

However, you should be thankful that you have this type of browser because Google Chrome is one of the best browser available. It's reliable and it's not often freeze up. It's fast and it's user friendly.

You can always uninstall Google chrome if you don't like. It's just 1 click and it's gone, the same way this browser emerges by accident.

Go to Start, Control Panel
Click Uninstall a program
Look for Google Chrome on the list of program installed
Highlight Google chrome and click Uninstall/Remove
This should remove the software for good

Hallo Joanne,

You do not have to worry that Google chrome is now installed on your computer, you can still remove it. But before you remove it you may just want to try using it and see how it works for you. Compare its speed with the other browsers and see if it is faster.

Google chrome might have installed itself due to a certain prompt by malware bytes during the scanning process. If you need to remove it, just trace it in the control panel and remove it:
Click on start and then control panel on the programs list.
When control panel opens, click on programs and features.
Click on add/remove programs.
Look for Google chrome on the list and then click on it, then choose remove.

Hope this helps.
