How to install windows 98 polish? Give me some installation instruction to get this done properly. I hope you can give me some ways to make this possible. I got a dual core computer with 2.1 gghrtz processor speed.

Hi

Window 98 is classic operating system you need to be careful for following:

  1. You have to format one drive of your hard disk as FAT32.
  2. You should not install any other operating system on this drive.
  3. If you want to install any other operating system like win7 and winXP you need to create NTFS file system drive and install other operating system there.
  4. For using window 98 for time being, rather to install it you can use virtualization technique as well.
  5. You might need to install drivers for your different hardware like sound, VGA, modem etc.
  6. For new hardware device it’s difficult to find drivers. Now a days most of companies do  not design drivers for window 98.

Hello Marie,

To install windows 98 polish you must follow the following steps.

1. From the MS DOS prompt go to the CD rom drive

2. Type CD win98 and press Enter key

3. Type setup and again press Enter

4. Press the Enter key to start the windows 98 installation. You need to press the continue button after the installation starts.

5. Accept the Windows 98 License agreement

6.  Insert the serial key when asked

7. Select the directory to install now 

8. Choose the setup usually it's Typical setup and click Next

9. Follow the messages and click Next to all of them.

This will install the windows 98 polish to your computer.
