How to install Adobe CS3 on Windows 7 in 64 bit?

I finally decided to use Windows 7 OS after some months of thinking. It is working well at first but when I tried to install my Adobe CS3 to it, I got an error stating:

"E:Adobe CS3Setup.exe is not a valid Win32 bit Application."

I need this software and I can use it with Windows XP without having any problems or issues. And also, when I clicked on the Properties window, it will just stop working. Does anyone here who has an idea on this matter? Many Thanks.

The reason why you are getting that issue is because the Adobe CS3 version that you are installing is 32 bit and you are installing it on a windows 7 operating system that is a 64 bit. That means that the application and the operating system are incompatible. So what you will need to do to resolve that issue is the following:

  • You will need to go online and search for an Adobe CS3 version that is a 64 bit too. I will recommend that you download it from the manufacturer's site, or you can also download from trusted sites like cnet downloads, softpedia and majorgeeks.
  • Install that version on your computer. It should be able to work because it is compatible to the windows 7 operating system that you are using.

Hi Mackenzie Castillo,

You are facing to this error because you are trying to install a 32-bit software to Windows7 64-bit operating system. They are not compatible with each other. So, the solution is you need to download Adobe CS3 64-bit. Go to this page http://www.adobe.com/, and download the right version. Please take note, if you want to install more plugins or filters for your CS3 products (like Photoshop), you have to choose 64-bit too.

Hope this helps
