I want to get gis free windows 7 to my laptop.I did heavy research to find this software but could not get the correct one.It can be paid or free version.However I want a compatible version to my laptop.Thanks.

You did not talk about the laptop brand and model that you are using. Keep searching on Google with mentioning your laptop manufacturer name and model.
You may try the website of your laptop manufacturer for the GIS. Another option is downloading all the versions available in Internet and trying one by one.

I've found a software by the name GRASS, which is a GIS for windows. It is a freeware, which means that this should work for you free of cost. You need not pay anything for this. And is compatible with most machines. Hence, I believe this should work for you too.
