I am using a Logitech C920 for video calling but the delay time is really slow. Â The video quality is really grainy and not very professional. If I can increase the connection speed will this fix the quality when connecting to my clients? Is there a better webcam that anyone can recommend that works great for client presentations?

There are some reason why you have latency or delay in your video stream. One reason is internet speed, so you’re correct it will lessen the video delay if you will upgrade the speed of your internet. Also, the drivers and software installed for this webcam. That will not help you much. Other users of the same webcam model made delay on their audio to make it more realistic that even the video is delayed it will coincide with the video. Downgrading the resolution is the best option to lessen the delay in your output stream.Â
If you have the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920, I don’t think you will have a problem with video quality because it is a full 1080p HD camera. If the camera is slow in capturing images like when you are talking to a client, I guess the problem is not with your actual webcam but with your internet connection.
You can test the quality of the captured video by recording a short video then save it on your hard drive. It uses the H.264 video codec when recording and saving a video so probably you will have an MP4 output video file. Play the recorded video on VLC media player or any media player that supports H.264 to see the quality of the video it captures.
The camera’s software supports Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. If the quality of the recorded video is excellent then you should subscribe to a much faster internet connection like fiber. If you haven’t installed the driver for the webcam yet then that’s another possible reason why the camera is not functioning correctly.
