Hi,
Yes it is possible for your computer running Windows XP to format your 16GB USB flash disk. Just simply follow these steps:
-
Insert your USB flash disk, wait until its read by your system
-
Go to My Computer
-
Right click on the USB flash disk line up at the Hard Disk Drives
-
Click Format
-
And Choose Quick Format
-
Warning message box will appear, choose OK if you wish to continue formatting or cancel to quit.

You can first change the file system and then you will be able to perform the format task. To change the file system you need to select manage form the menu you will get by right clicking on my computer icon, then go to disk management tab and perform the task.
