Hi,

If you're using wireless connection.

The performance of the remote desktop will greatly depend on the speed of your connection.

Though there is no turnaround to speed up the wireless connection, you can try to do a clean boot to free up the memory from unwanted startup items while you're connecting to a different computer.

Hi,

The issue can be due to issues with your wireless card drivers, please visit to download latest drivers for your laptop. There is an option to search for the drivers using your service tag(it’s a 5-7 digit alphanumeric code on the back side of your laptop on a bar-coded sticker).

Usually this kind of problem gets addressed with a driver update.

Also check to see if there are any devices like cordless phones, microwave ovens etc near your router / your laptop. Such devices are known to create conflicts with wireless networks and hence network speeds causing lag in remote desktop sessions.

You might also want to try alternative software solutions to taking a remote desktop connection.

Tools like TeamViewer can provide ways to take remote control sessions for free (for non – commercial uses)
