Hello Jedei,

To resolve the error that you are getting you can try using the following workarounds:

Solution 1:

Try upgrading the router, the nat device firmware and any other firmware that might be the possible causes to that error and see if that will resolve the issue.

Solution 2:

In case the Firewall Network Address Translation (NAT) is not able to correctly change the IP addresses mentioned here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/281193/ftp-error-500-invalid-port-command, then the server will come up with the error message on the command. The issue is most likely to occur when the FTP server changes from listening on port 21 to another port that is a bit higher.

Regards,

Carl

Dear Jedei Powel,

I understood your problem.Did you check the router? The router need to be reset when there is a problem in the port. Have you tried leaving your port as blank or 0. And please update your service pack. You have to managed to fix by upgrading the router /NAT device firmware.

The issue happening when the Windows Firewall is enabled(need to enable). So XP can't identify TCP ports. And you can upgrade the router still you have a issue.

Good Luck.
