Hello Folks,

In our office we are using a Linux server which is based on Suse. For some official purpose

we need to filter the web content. So, I am expecting that is there any free suse internet content filter mechanism available in the software market?

Hi Denise,

You can check on SQUID PROXY this has GNU Public License. This was originally created on Free open source operating system (UNIX like). Wikipedia’s Wiki media Foundation uses this software. However, there is also a Content filtering software that is proprietary called DANGUARD, not only it has content filtering it also comes with virus filtering and it monitors usage also. This can also filter not only from the server side but extends throughout the network. This is what big establishments use. This is not license controlled the source code for the software is available as an open source.
