There are still old models of mobile phone that uses MMS and I for one still has one. I have some picture messages in that phone that I am planning on extracting. Those pictures can still be viewed from the phone and I am thinking how to extract jpg from mms files? I do know how to see it from notepad but not on how to solely change it to jpeg.

Hi Scott Broek,

You could solve this problem by saving the actual picture and not all the MMS contents(includes texts). Once you have saved the picture it immediately changes format to .jpg file. Otherwise, you could also look for a file that extracts .jpg data from your MMS (these widely exist on the internet).

Hi Scott,

I suggest you to try these steps:

1.   Connect your device with Activesync.

(Activesync is a common Microsoft application that coordinates your mobile data into your PC.)

2.   GO to the My DocumentsUA Contents folder then drag the MMS UA folder into your desktop.

3.    http://wargolet.com/wm6/   Go to this site and download and then download the MMS Extractor application software. It’s just a small file.

4.   You have to run the downloaded application. Choose the Process folder then go the MMS UA folder then pick a file.

The application will automatically convert all the MMS (.dat) files it can read.
