I own a Samsung B5510 (Galaxy Y Pro).  This phone has Wifi hotspot capability.  I’m able to activate the Wifi Hotspot,

And it is discoverable on most units. However, I’m unable to browse form other units or other devices.

When they are tethered to my B5510.  My data access is active, and I am able to browse from the phone itself.

Is there something wrong with the phone?

How come I’m not able to browse using other units when tethered to my phone?

Technically, when you have activated your phone’s tethering, your phone becomes a wifi hotspot. You have said the signal is discoverable on most units but you didn’t say you were able to connect to it. Please double check if the other units are able to connect to it. Did you check the Wi-Fi network status in your other units? Did it say it is “connected”  to your Samsung B5510? Or maybe your other units just listed the available wifi networks around and it wasn’t connected. But if it the status says it is connected, then it should work. It could be that some operators disabled this feature. Please check with your phone network’s operator.
