For privacy and security issues, you have to register first with an account on Wikipedia, so that your entire editing history can be scrutinized by interested web researchers. Also, you can maintain your own record of edits. Use the wiki-markup syntax for adding your contents. Make sure you are using technical, un-opinionated, and audience-relatable language.

In case you are infringing on the copyright of articles already published on the web, you will be debarred from uploading your edits as plagiarism contents will be truncated at one go and flagged immediately for deletion. However, citing verifiable contents from secondary sources is an expected task. Do not oppose on contents that are already present. Be neutral and use potentially respectful words.

In the end, if you do all this and still cant find your contents updated, then you may seek guidance from a number of avenues, for eg: help desks, an IRC channel, or an “Adopt-a-User Mentorship Program”. You can even use a special template “{{helpme}}” in case you need a one-on-one assistance, if all else fails.
