Does anyone know how to disable the SMS sync between my Samsung phone and MS Outlook 2010? The text messages which are already on my phone are flooding my mailbox. The only solution I can see on the web is for Windows Phone 6.x.

Hi Abbiegail,

My apologies for what you are going through. At first it might have looked great but I am sure now it is very annoying with many SMS trickling down to your email's inbox. Now you will get a solution to this annoying problem. To get to correct this problem you will need to open the email client program on your samsung phone. Go to the menu then on the account settings get the SMS sync disabled. I hope this gets to work well for you. Do it from your phone not from your email or Outlook account  and this will work. It worked for me and I am sure it will work for you.

Thanks.

Hello Abbiegail,

You can disable the SMS sync between my Samsung phone and MS Outlook 2010 using the following simple procedure:

  • Just turn on the phone, and then navigate to the email client, and then in the mail menu of the email client click on Account Settings. You should see the Disable SMS sync option there, just click on to disable the service.

Alternatively, you can use the following procedure:

  • Go to the tools menu of the email client which is on the ribbon under file, and then Click on Account Settings.
  • Thereafter select the Outlook Mobile Service account that you want to remove by clicking on it and then click Remove.
  • Click yes to confirm the removal of the account.
