My bro has put my computer into a 'deep freeze' state. How do I unfreeze it? I need to save some files but if I turn my computer off, they will be lost. It's really annoying. Please help me.

Your computer is frozen – this means that your files & all your work will be lost. As all the unsaved work is stored in the RAM, when a PC hangs all the data is lost. You simply have to restart your computer & press the f8 key – it will open the windows advanced options where you have to choose the windows safe mode. After you click on the windows safe mode windows, you can fix all the problems which you are not able to fix in windows normal mode as it bypasses loading of unnecessary drivers.

When computer freezes-up. you can't move the mouse,  use the keyboard and the computer itself is non-responsive.

You can press Ctrl + Alt + Del simultaneously, then unfreeze the non-responding application. Highlight the application and click on the End Now button in the lower left. Do this in the other application that has the same status.

You can also go to the Task Manager and disabled the processes that eat too much files. In this steps, you'll decreasing the memory usage running in your computer. When computer is frozen, all unsaved data will be lost. There is no work-around to this.

Hello Kmyuleen,

If your computer is freezing all the time, then it is possible that you are running many applications at the same time which are overwhelming the memory that your computer has, and therefore you will need to close some of those applications. If you have installed many memory intensive applications like games, then you will need to install some of them to free up space on the computer.

You will also need to upgrade the RAM capacity of your computer so as to boosts its processing speeds. If you have saved many files on the primary hard drive that has the operating system then you need to partition the drive and save the files somewhere else.
