What's the best means to recover from blue screen computer  memory error(s), due to a non format/scheme video ram driver, or just the wrong driver, or a 64 bit setting instead of 32 bit. There's just only one .txt document  and at least 3-4 physical addresses that I have to retrieve before I reformat it if need be.  Do I have to reformat it anyway?

Have you tried booting in safe mode? Press and hod F8 while booting. Select safe mode from the options and enter. If you are able to start up windows try to find the cause of the problem by doing these

Right click on My computer and click properties. Go to the hardware tab and click on Device manager. Do you see any yellow exclamation mark next to any of the devices. If there is any problem with any device you can remove it if possible or install back to the previous driver by choosing the roll back driver option in its properties. If all fails then back up your important files and format the hard disk as planned.
