I created a Microsoft Outlook email recently to use with my Windows PC. But I check my emails frequently only on Gmail. How can I import Outlook emails to Gmail?
Importing your emails to Gmail will give you a great advantage of easy access. To do this, you have to follow the following steps:
1. Go to “Settings” in Gmail. Then, enable IMAP in the Gmail account and then configure Outlook, to sync with your Gmail address via IMAP, using the information given.
2. You will have to import your Outlook PST file into a different folder that is different from your Gmail Inbox.
3. To import, select File and then “Import and Export”. Proceed with importing from another program or file and then click on Next and then on Personal Folder File (.pst). Then click on Next again.
4. Choose the PST file that has your email, then select the email folders that you want to import in Outlook and click on Finish.
5. Select the specific folders that you want to backup from Outlook and copy them into your Gmail Folder in Outlook.
6. In the Folder List, copy the folder name that you wish to copy. Select the Gmail Folder in Outlook and copy that folder to that location.
