Hi guys.  I use Salesforce for customer relation management.  How do I enable 256 bit encryption Salesforce?  I want my Salesforce data that includes personal data of customers to be fully secured and encrypted.  Any tips would be much appreciated.  Thanks.

Hi Douglas,

Credit card connection is always encrypted from the https in the address bar. That would be the same encryption used for the credit card data. For Salesforce it creates text fields that have encryption on it.

Sometimes if you wanted to make sure that your credit card transaction is encrypted you can contact the technical support to request to enable encryption. However, I found a couple of options that might help you do this on your own.

After you create a string you can convert it to Base64 string once it is ready for transmission to the internet or local intranet. You also need to check the security if it is configured for it.

This link will tell you more about it. Alternately, you can also configure your browser to work for only AES256 you can use SSL for all your communication.
