I use BS. Player 2.64 and I use it for watching MicroDVD. sub videos which can also search and download subtitles.Â
I'm having a problem with 1 video file with no subtitle showing in BS.Player but shows up in VLC.Â
It seems BS.
PLayer does not recognize the subtitle.Â

About your concern, BS Player does not support DVD closed captioning (DVD CC) thus it only supports DVD subtitles.

The problem you mention it may occur if the embedded subtitle is enabled so at first check that.
You need to disable it to go through the Options first then Preference and at last Subtitle.
You can try BS Player pro version also which can display two different types of external subtitles in two different languages at the same time.
